Sara Hellner is a very
promising Dressage talent. She is known for her partnership with Diameter, a
Danish Warm blood gelding, with whom she repeatedly has earned the highest
marks from 3rd Level to Intermediare 1, in U.S. Winning booth in
Florida and at Dressage at Devon. They placed themselves as 2nd
in U.S for 3rd level, 2002, and 2nd again 2003 for 4th
level.
Sara Hellner is a 38-year-old Swedish, Mechanical Engineer, who after 10 years in her profession decides to do something she always dreamed of; work with horses. She quit her job and started to work for Bo Tibblin (one of the most known Dressage trainers in Sweden). She worked hard, cleaning stalls, grooming and riding horses, 12-14 hours a day, 7 days a week, until she left for U.S in the end of 2001. The fact that Sara only has been riding Dressage for 7 years and her current horse, Depeche is young and inexperienced, they still place in every show they go. He is the first horse Sara has trained completely on her own, he is now 8, and is schooling all the GP. The fact that she has only been riding for such a relatively short time, and already have so much success, makes her hope that she can be a big role model for other amateurs, that starts later in life. Sara’s diligence has paid off. Her method of setting goals and work hard to achieve them is what she considers to be the secret to her success. Sara has said that she has devoted herself to being the best rider that she can be. She is based out of Applewood Farm, Alpharetta, Georgia, where she trains with USDF Gold medallist Karen Lipp. Teaching at Applewood daily, please contact Sara Hellner at diameter94@aol.com, 404-414-8494. |
