Alpharetta GA November 30, 2002
We have had a busy summer 2002 at Applewood. It started with moving Michelle Gibsonís crew from Wellington Florida, where they stay during the winter show season, back up to Alpharetta Ga. The trip began with a Florida sun rise.
Red sky in morningÖ.
The barn was all packed up the night before. The horses were ready to travel.
World of Dreams, ready to move out.
Soon we had 7 horses and a camper loaded up and ready to roll.
Foundation volunteers helped drive the trucks.
We said good bye to the Diamondís Legacy, the orphan foal born in the barn the night before.
She found a surrogate mom a week later.

"Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones."
"The stories of past courage can offer hope, they can provide inspiration. But they
cannot supply courage itself. For this, each man must look into his own soul."
Michelle had World of Dreams in her truck and she was first out of the gates. She had more towing horsepower and soon was way ahead. Just far enough ahead to completely miss the heavy rain that followed the rest of us up the highway.
Hard driving in heavy rain.
The sun was setting as we approached Applewood. We were thankful for the safe trip.
The rain ended as we pulled into Applewood.
Everyone helped unload the trucks and the job was done quickly.
"Each morning sees some task begin. Each evening sees it done. Something attempted, something done."
